About Our Handwoven Rugs
As a homeowner, if you are looking to welcome more comfort and beauty into your home, then adding a handwoven rug could be a perfect "feeling" addition to get involved with. Traditionally indeed, a handwoven area rug will be made from the felted wool fibers (wool is simply the fleece of sheep, typically lambs) and then hand sewn together in some sort of proprietary way, which will allow you to achieve whatever petrichor rug style you want to have in your home.
The one constant however, and the beautiful reality of handmade rugs, ultimately will come down to the texture and the value of the rug when you walk into that room. The felted wool fibers are warm and soft, if you allow the room to be a "focal" room (where comfort is to be top of mind) such as a bedroom or living room. The felted wool will be warmer in the winter and a little cooler in summer.
Hand woven rugs are made to be functional. The felted wool is durable enough to be used in spaces where heavy traffic would happen in the world of all aspects of mobility, and will still hold true to its being a functional rug rather than a cheap rug (mass produced rug) any day of the week.
